He began his career as a Chartered Engineer who has developed a particular interest in competitiveness issues. He is leader of the European Benchmarking Forum and author of several books on WCM and benchmarking. Richard is also a lecturer in Trinity College Dublin's department of Statistics. A key part of his work involves estimating and evaluating the effects of Enterprise Ireland's interventions with its clients.
